Though they met in law school at NYU, Ryan + Joachim crushed from afar for years, often connecting and then losing touch. It wasn’t until several years after graduation that they finally went on their first date in Cincinnati where Ryan was living and Joachim was visiting for work. They’ve finally quit the long distance and have settled down, for now, in San Fransisco with their adorable husky Indiana. For their shoot, we visited their old stomping grounds around Washington Square Park and discussed their wedding + future plans, including Ryan’s conversion to Judaism which I learned more about as we were invited into a local synagogue towards the end of the night.
