As Kaitlyn prepared to slip into her wedding dress, she heard the undeniable boom of thunder approaching the Sterling Ballroom and had to make a quick decision to move her summertime ceremony inside. She looked to me for another decision, should we still head to Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown for a first look with her beloved Mike? I said we should go for it, I’m sure we could always find cover if the rain gets heavier. By the time we arrived at the Gardens, the rain had turned torrential. Luckily, Mike and I found the most perfect greenhouse to hide him in and Kaitlyn, looking like a princess, said “F- it!” and ran through the rain into the enclosure.
Kaitlyn + Mike have truly grown up together. They’ve been enamored with each other for 11 years, and have experienced proms, graduations, dog adoptions and home ownership together, to list just a few of their milestones. They’ve always made life work for them and their incredible rainy day wedding was no exception.
