Though they grew up in the same town, Julie didn’t formally meet Mike until he applied to work with her at an ice cream stand on the boardwalk. It turns out they were both Freshmen at the same high school and they hit it off quickly, their first several years together were spent as best friends until Mike finally convinced Julie to go on a date with him. Through the years they’ve grown up together, eventually buying a house in their shared home town and settling down with their beloved pets. They knew right away where they’d like to take their engagement photos, the place where Mike proposed, a beautiful area of Cattus Island overlooking the Barnegat Bay. We met on a chilly day when the last bit of snow was melting (Julie stayed warm in a coat passed down from Mike’s grandmother) and it was so nice hearing about their love story + their plans for their wedding day this October.
